Drugs and Alcohol doesn't just affect those in poverty although Addictions are harder to kick when you're poor.  Most all of us can say addictions have in some way touched our lives or the people around us.  Some of us may have even lost loved ones to drug overdose or liver disease due to alcoholism.

Did you know...

...In Ohio, in 2018, there were 3,764 unintentional overdose deaths.

...On March 31, 2017, in a single day 56,197 people in Ohio were enrolled in substance use treatment.

...As of January 1, 2018, in Ohio's prisons, drug offenders comprised 28% (5,474 people) of the total 49, 578 prison population.

...In Ohio, in 2014, the recidivism rate for the first 3 years after release from prison was 31.4% for all offenses and 20% for drug related offenses.

...As of June 2019 the average cost to incarcerate an inmate in Ohio was $26,365 per year ($72.23 per day).

...In Ohio, as of 2013, excessive drinking results in 3,288 deaths each year.
